On June 27, a delegation led by Lv Zhaofu, Vice President of China Institute of Atomic Energy, visited NEU for research and exchange. Wang Xingwei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of NEU, relevant responsible persons from the School of Computer Science and Engineering and the National Engineering Research Center for Computer Software, as well as relevant teachers from the School, attended the symposium.
At the symposium, Lv Zhaofu briefly introduced the intention of his visit, stating that the China Institute of Atomic Energy is the birthplace of nuclear science and technology in China and a comprehensive scientific research base. It has long been concerned about technological innovation and the coordinated development of industry, academia and research, and looks forward to exploring the establishment of a long-term, stable and mutually beneficial strategic partnership with NEU in aspects such as jointly building laboratories and talent cultivation bases.
Wang Xingwei extended a warm welcome to Lv Zhaofu and his delegation, introduced the School's history and recent development achievements, and expressed high expectations for the prospects of cooperation between the two sides. It is hoped that both sides will take this exchange as an opportunity to give full play to their respective scientific research and technological advantages, promote in-depth cooperation in the fields of intelligent computing and nuclear technology, and jointly serve the major strategic needs of the country.
The relevant person from the School of Computer Science and Engineering introduced the general information of the School and its main research directions. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on the existing school-enterprise cooperation models and successful cases, complementary technical resources, joint talent cultivation, and joint technological research and development, and fully explored the future cooperation paths.
The relevant person from the School of Computer Science and Engineering stated that China Institute of Atomic Energy and NEU have broad cooperation potential of scientific research innovation, talent cultivation and major project breakthroughs. The School will actively promote practical cooperation and connection, help both sides achieve coordinated breakthroughs in key core technologies, boost the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, and form a good situation of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.
Both sides unanimously expressed that they would promptly promote the implementation of specific cooperation matters, continuously deepen the breadth and depth of cooperation, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of national nuclear science and technology innovation and intelligent computing fields.
Lv Zhaofu and his team also visited the Huatian Hall and the laboratories. Associate Professor Yi Bo introduced the relevant research progress of the School.
