On the afternoon of October 29, the 2025 Shenyang "AI+" Developer Conference and Shenyang AI Developer Conference were held at the Science Hall of NEU Nanhu Campus. Co-hosted by the Shenyang Intelligent Application Association, NEU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, and the Heping District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Shenyang, the conference takes "New Opportunities, New Challenges, New Vitality, New Advantages" as its theme and focused on exploring the integration paths of "AI + Industry" and "AI + Talent," bringing together representatives from government departments, universities and research institutions, AI enterprises, and developers. Together, the participants discussed the practical application of AI technologies and directions for industrial upgrading, creating a new platform and injecting fresh momentum into Shenyang's AI industry development. The conference was attended by representatives from the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Heping District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, over 30 leaders of artificial-related technology companies, and more than 200 faculty and student representatives from NEU's student innovation teams.
Li He, Executive Vice Dean of NEU's Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, stated in his address that artificial intelligence is profoundly reshaping the landscape of social development. The "Opinions on Deepening the Implementation of the 'AI+' Initiative" released by the state have charted the course for the deep integration of AI across all industries and sectors, while also entrusting developers with a mission of our time. NEU possesses deep expertise and innovative achievements in artificial intelligence fields including automation, computer science, software engineering, big data, machine learning, intelligent robotics, and pattern recognition. NEU will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education, as well as the convergence of science and education, to continuously advance the transformation and implementation of scientific and technological achievements. These efforts will provide precise and reliable intelligent support for industrial-level applications.
The keynote session focused on cutting-edge trends in artificial intelligence. Experts from enterprises such as Alibaba Cloud, Free-AI, and Yunjin Vision delivered in-depth sharing on hot topics including AI industry ecosystem, game generation innovation, embodied intelligence implementation, and the integration of AI and VR. Professor Lu Zhiguo from NEU's School of Mechanical Engineering shared practical application scenarios of embodied intelligence technology.
An appointment and award ceremony was also held. Professor Lu Zhiguo and four other experts were appointed as "AI+" development consultants for Heping District. Eight companies were rated as the "Outstanding AI Application Company Award," and thirteen corporate representatives won the "AI Application Innovation Individual Award."
During the roadshow segment, the leaders of two student entrepreneurial teams from NEU showcased their latest AI innovation applications. This fully demonstrated the cutting-edge technological prowess of NEU's entrepreneurial teams, highlighting the innovative thinking and practical capabilities of the younger generation in the field of artificial intelligence.
This conference not only focused on showcasing Shenyang's achievements in the field of artificial intelligence, but also further stimulated the innovative vitality and development momentum of industry players, and consolidated the consensus of all parties to promote the development of Shenyang's "AI+".
