NEU Achieves Outstanding Results in the 4th China Postgraduate "Dual Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition

The national finals of the Fourth China Postgraduate "Dual Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition were held at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology from November 7 to 9. The event also known as Shenhua Baite Cup was co-sponsored by the Association of Chinese Graduate Education and the Youth Science and Technology Center of China Association for Science and Technology under the guidance of the Department of Degree Management and Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. The NEU team won one national First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, and one Outstanding Instructor Award.

This competition is intended to deepen graduate students' understanding of the national "dual carbon" strategy and inspire young scholars to channel their innovative energy toward green development. Centered on the "3060 dual carbon" goals, the event is dedicated to improving the quality of talent cultivation in related fields, promoting deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application, and accelerating the transformation of research team achievements into practical outcomes. The competition set up expert proposition and enterprise tracks, providing a display platform for different types of projects. Through competition and exchange, the event has effectively enhanced the sense of mission and practical ability of graduate students to serve the country's major strategies, reserved young innovative forces for the "dual carbon" field, and demonstrated the positive actions of universities in responding to climate change.

During the competition, each participating team delved deeply into and actively explored the theme of "dual carbon". Relying on their solid professional foundation and fully leveraging their interdisciplinary advantages, they utilized cutting-edge technologies such as environmental and new energy, new materials, and electronic information to create a series of works that are both socially significant and of industrial value. These works fully demonstrated a profound understanding and active implementation of the "dual carbon" goals.

This outstanding performance not only represents a concentrated demonstration of NEU's innovative accomplishments, but also highlights the remarkable success of NEU's collaborative model integrating industry, academia, research, and application. Looking ahead, NEU will continue to strengthen resource allocation, build broader innovation platforms for graduate students, and fully support technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrades in the dual carbon field, injecting more youthful energy into achieving the nation's dual-carbon goals.
