On November 17, the winners of the 22nd Huawei Cup China Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition were officially announced, and students from NEU achieved outstanding results once again. After fierce competition, NEU secured 3 National First Prizes, 17 Second Prizes, and 32 Third Prizes. NEU Qinhuangdao Campus won 3 Second Prizes and 3 Third Prizes, fully demonstrating our graduate students' solid mathematical foundation and exceptional innovative capabilities.
This year’s competition set a new record in scale, attended by 24,371 teams from 631 graduate training units across China and abroad. After nearly two months of rigorous evaluation by 944 experts, the final awards were determined: 244 teams received the National First Prize (award rate: 1.00%), 3,085 teams received the Second Prize (award rate: 12.66%), and 4,830 teams received the Third Prize (award rate: 19.82%).
