From May 28 to 31, the final defense and awards ceremony of the 12th Casting Design Contest for Undergraduate Students of China was held in FAW Foundry Co., Ltd. in Changchun, and NEU won 1 first prize and 2 third prizes in this contest. Under the guidance of Mr. Liu Xinggang and Mr. Yan Shu, the works completed by Liu Kezhuo, Liang Ping, Zhai Kuangyu, and Xu Wenting from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of NEU won the first prize in the Casting Design Contest for Undergraduate Students of China of this year.
A total of 351 works from 72 universities were submitted to the executive committee of the contest. After the preliminary evaluation of the review committee and the defense of the national final, etc., 19 works were finally selected as the first prize.
